Maureen and I became great friends starting in the second grade at St. Augustine's and continuing through our days at the Little Round Park and later life until her untimely passing; we were frequent roommates at Big Chill weeks. I will miss her terribly. Love, Helen

To all the Richards, especially Ray,

I just learned about Maureen. She called me her Boat Mate, as Windsong was next to my boat at Marina Bay. When I arrived the first year I was so lost. She made me feel so comfortable as a single woman boat owner Always smiled and laughed. When I met the first grandchild at the Marina there was never anything to talk about but the beauty of the birth of them

My heart goes out to all of you for your loss.

Maureen - Thank you for the cherished memories woven into our life's tapestry; from our carefree days at the Little Round Park to the afternoon we shared at Twin Rivers at the last Chill. Rest easy, Dearest One, you shall never be forgotten! Much Love,

Girlfriends walk through life together, whether they live close or far apart, they know that the other one is there to share the highs and the lows and everything else. Girlfriends are connected at the heart and their friendship is permanent, they believe in each other, they are sensitive and supportive, they can talk about things they may not even talk to their famailies about, each of them knows the other will understand, no matter what. Girlfriends aren't afraid to break the rules, defend each other and go out of their way, they've cried together and laughed together, they have been there when it mattered, their loyalty is strong and lasting, their bond is unquestionable and unconditional, they know that they'll keep on being there through everything life has in store for them. No one can take the place of a girlfriend, just like no one can take your place in my life, you will always live in my heart, just like family.
Rest in Peace my dear Maureen, The Chillers.

My Prayers, and thoughts go out to all of you. Ray, she loved you so much. She always had some witty thing to say about you. Christi and Greg, always had nice things to say about her children. Her precious grandchildren! Oh, the stories on her bargains at the Boutique stores she would go to for that special outfit. She adored her grandchildren, always had a ton of pics to show you her grandkids. She was the greatest child advocate for all of the special needs children in the commonwealth. Who can take her place? Who will pick up where she left off? She gave it a good fight all these years, however, God saw her getting tired and called her home to be free of pain. R.I.P. Maureen.........Love Judy,& Hunter Geagan~

When I found my father Bill McColgan in 1987, his dear friend Maureen Richard and her family welcomed me in as one of their own. My heart was warmed like never before and never since. In my father's eyes, Maureen's family & friends were his family. Maureen, through her words and her actions, taught me about my father, taught me about life, and taught me how to be a better person than I was before I met her. Maureen will live on in me, as she will in the hearts of so many. My life has been enriched by knowing her. Thank you Maureen; you done good!
