To all of the members of the Dalton Family,

Please know how incredibly sorry I am for this tragic loss. I just learned of Michael's passing over the weekend, and I am overwhelmed with grief.

I remember Michael fondly from my days as a teacher and coach at St. Sebastian's. Michael was a bright, vibrant, genuine, and decent young man; he had a big heart, a good soul, an infectious smile, and a wonderful sense of humor. He touched the lives of so many. I cannot fathom what you must be experiencing these days. I can only share with you that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

May Michael now enjoy the company of the angels and saints, and may you somehow feel his presence and know his love "from the other side" of the veil that temporarily separates this life from the next. Take care. Peace.

I believe he was my neighbor
I observed him interacting with his young son at the clubhouse pool. He was one of the best dads from
That point of view I'd ever seen
He lit up the room with his smile at the clubhouse gym
Although I only knew him to say hello
His wonderful positive energy made me feel like I should write something. As I lost my young husband
Two years ago due to a work accident
God bless him and his family
As blessings have helped me

When Michael's dad, Richard, was running for Selectman, I volunteered to hold a Dalton sign on a Saturday morning when everyone was out campaigning. When I arrived at So. Lynnfield Post Office to do my part to help elect Richard, I went to stand next to a young man whom I had never met before that day. It was Michael Dalton. It was a very cold morning, but for the next two hours, Michael made the time fly with his personality, his energy, intelligence, and wit. He was entertaining, refreshing, and charismatic. When it was time for me to leave, I felt more committed to work for Richard Dalton because of this beautiful boy who was his son. Michael was like a ray of sunshine on that cloudy and rainy day. May his spirit always shine brightly on the Dalton Family and hold you up on your darkest days. God bless his beautiful soul. Donna Hegan

Richard & Carmella; Stacey; Jamie,

Today... a time for Michael's final rest, my 'mind's eye' remembers the ferocious fire in HIS eyes as we coached and/or coaxed him off the hockey-ice for a 'spell'; a brief respite, temporarily 'benched' for a breather; maybe for the benefit of the other team! Your son, Michael Dick & Mel, and brother, Stacey & Jamie had a unique tenacity, and he could wrap it all up in a friendly, supportive smile. I savor the memories of those days...

My condolences for your loss; for all of ours' as well. - ken Rowland

I am so terribly sorry about Michael's passing. I pray that he rests in heaven and that his family and friends will be comforted by our Lord's peace, the peace that surpasses all human understanding. I have heard it said and I believe it to be true that death ends a life, not a relationship and that death is not the final period on the sentence; it's only a comma. Michael hasn't really left us. He's just walking on ahead. And we live in hope of one day walking with him in heaven. Still, the passing hurts. And I am so very, very sorry. Please know that every one of us in the St. Sebastian's family is here for the Dalton family and for Michael's many friends, and we will be forever. May God bless you all.
In deepest sympathy,
Bill Burke
