A belated Happy Birthday Mike. Hard to believe all these years have passed. Hope you and my brother Kim have hooked up for a pickup basketball game. A couple of rockers have passed these past 2 weeks, David Bowie and Glenn Frey so I'm hoping that they've brought their sounds with them. Maybe heaven isn't like that, but I know it has to be a good place, and I'd like to believe that the things that make us happy here, will make us happy in the afterlife. xoxoxo

Hey there Mikey,
Seems unreal another year has passed, and so quickly. It was a tough one for some of us, however, as always we stuck together and stayed positive. We know you were and are with us in spirit encouraging us every step of the way. The Pats are in it again - big game this weekend! We're confident you and Roger are pulling for them to make it to another Super Bowl! Today the Universe blessed us with a sunny and warm day - like your last Birthday unusually warm for January. We're here munching on rye toast with grape jelly and sipping on coffee, while we celebrate you, our treasured friend. We miss you dearly and plan to visit soon. Here we all are...celebrating your birthday & watching football playoffs. We all miss you so much...2011 was quite a year for us in Western MA - snowstorm after snowstorm the beginning of the year, 3 tornadoes, a hurricane, floods, and a freaky October winter ice storm..the landscape here has really changed, but still is so pretty...plus, your little buddy suffered an unexpected injury at work - she's promised to visit with you later - your physical loss has been challenging for her; anyway, what are you all thinking about up there? We need a break! And, indeed you delivered this/your birthday weekend - a balmy 60 degrees - in January! We had a fun time last year at our little Memorial to you. We know you were with us in spirit. Well, we're about to sing Happy Birthday to you - oh,yes, and TR has a special "cake" for you - smells good - thick slices of warm rye toast with butter and grape jelly, and, of course a candle on top of each! Hey Mikey...yes, it's your friends from Western MA - but then you must know that...we finally found you, or, maybe we should say, you found us. We have been looking for you for ever so long..We tried to call and even wrote to your address in Canada...with exception of 2, all were returned...we thought you moved to Isla Margarita, however unusual it was so long one of us had not heard from you...searched for you at PATS games, too. We miss you..TR especially having a tough time with learning of your passing, however is grateful you are with all of us in spirit...TR actually found you - or should we say "heard" from you; you both always had a special connection...we all are here now celebrating your life and your importance to us and your influence on us. We are so comforted by the fact you were there to welcome Roger when he unexpectedly passed 3 years ago in November - we know you both are behind the PATS great season this year -not to mention your own influence over their glorious subsequent Super Bowl wins in 2004 & 05. We are planning our own memorial for you, including a trip to Theodores - with dancing, of course, Fitzwilly's for burgers and then off to Kathy's Diner culminating with a trip to visit with you in Peabody - hopefully this weekend for your birthday.
Our thoughts and prayers to your family - especially to your sister Maureen, whom you always spoke so warmly and admirably.. Thank you so much to your family for keeping this guest book active...as TR says, there is a reason for everything, and thanks to your family, we are able to connect with you in word, in addition to your infectious and glowing spirit.
