Jerry passed away peacefully Thursday evening, March 26, 2026 at his home in Peabody, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. He was 78 years of age. Born and raised in Chelsea, Jerry was the son of Max and Sarah (Hurwitz) Weinberg. He attended Chelsea public schools and graduated from Chelsea High School, Class of 1965. After high school, Jerry enlisted into the US Army on October 21, 1966, serving during the Vietnam War. Proudly serving his country, Jerry, was honorably discharged on July 24, 1968. He later received an Associate's Degree from Fisher Junior College. Jerry had various job over the years, he was a jack of all trades. He was an avid pool player, and studied the Bible daily. Most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Jerry was the beloved husband of Sophie E. (Repoza) Weinberg, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage. Devoted father of Corbett Weinberg and his wife Pamela of Peabody, Sandra Laliberte and her husband Strider of Peabody, Damon Weinberg and his wife Katie of Lynn, and Leslie Irons and her husband James of Peabody. Jerry is also lovingly survived by 15 grandchildren, Jessica, Paula, Nicholas, Lauren, Luciano, Alexandria, L'Nae, Sofia, Paul, Sydney, Victoria, Abel, Maggie, Anthony, Maxine and 9 great grandchildren, Luke, Jordan, Brooklyn, Deja, Peyton, Dylan, Samuel, Isla, and Ella.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours in the Carafa Family Funeral Home, 389 Washington Ave., Chelsea on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Jerry will have a private burial with Military Honors at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.

DONATIONS: In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in honor of Jerold Guy Weinberg to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or on-line www.cancer.org.
