Madalyn T "Lyn" Kelly

Madalyn (Lyn) Therese Kelly was born in 1934 to John Minton and Catharine Kelly of Everett. The youngest of 4, Lyn was predeceased by her parents and siblings, Robert (Bob), John Kelly and Monica Aylward. After graduating from Cheverus High School, Lyn was employed by the New England Telephone Company through its many changes and retired from Verizon.

Lyn relocated to Cape Cod to care for her aging parents. A devoted Irish Catholic, she lived a life of service to family, St Pius Church X in South Yarmouth, St Joseph's in Everett and many other volunteer services. Lyn enjoyed many years of retirement traveling from Cape Cod to many destinations with family and friends. She was in her home in South Yarmouth surrounded by family when she peacefully departed to rejoin her heavenly family on Monday March 23rd, 2026, at 91 years old.

A doting aunt, Lyn leaves behind Brenda-Lyn Aylward, Patricia Poirier, John M. and Barbara Kelly, Mary Monica Aylward, John M. Kelly III and Jeff Pike, Chrisann and Paul Clougher, Michael and Laura Kelly, Kristen Kelly Fisher, and many more loving grand nieces and nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by nephews William and Daniel Aylward.

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours in the Carafa Family Funeral Home, 389 Washington Ave., Chelsea on Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. Funeral from the Carafa Family Funeral Home on Monday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church, 487 Broadway, EVERETT at 10:00 A.M. Services will conclude with interment in the family lot at Wildwood Cemetery in Wilmington.
