Robert James "Bobby" Mitchell

Bobby passed away at his home in Chelsea, Saturday evening, February 28, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. He was 69 years of age. A lifelong resident of Chelsea, Bobby was the son of the late Cyril and Bertha (Castella) Mitchell. He attended school in Chelsea, graduating from Chelsea High School in 1974. He went on to receive an Associate's Degree in Transportation Management from Bunker Hill Community College. Bobby was a longtime employee of Madico Incorperated, retiring after 40 years as a metalizer. A lifelong lover of music, he enjoyed playing the both electric and acoustic guitar. Most importantly enjoyed spending time surrounded by his loved ones, sharing his love of music with them.

Bobby is the beloved husband of Lisa M. (Yannetti) Mitchell, with whom he shared 40 years of marriage. Devoted father of Jeffrey P. Mitchell and Kendal P. Mitchell, both of Chelsea. Dear brother of Edward "Teddy" Mitchell of Chelsea, Judy Gensel of Saugus and her late husband Robert "Buddy" Gensel, Jo-Ann Keller and her husband John of NH, Donna Darouey and her husband Akbar of NH, Denise Vargas and her husband Danny of Florida. Also lovingly survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours in the Carafa Family Funeral Home, 389 Washington Ave., CHELSEA on FRIDAY, March 6, 2026, from 9:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. Funeral services will follow the visitation in the Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. All services will conclude in the Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
