RUBEN'S VISITATION HOURS WILL REMAIN ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 22 FROM 3-7 P.M.

Ruben Rosa was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, on May 29, 1952, son of the late Felicita Rosa Velasquez & Jorge Rosa. In his early years while residing in Rio Piedras, he had a love for boxing & salsa, he successfully graduated high school. He later migrated to Chelsea MA in 1975. He became a father to four children. Then later a grandfather to many. During his time in Chelsea, he played baseball for Los Indios back in the mid 80s. He was a professor at Bunker Hill Community College where he taught English language as a second language for Spanish speakers. He later transcended into being a produce manager for over 10years at State Garden. He later retired and spent his days with family, or you could find him at his favorite spot to be with friends which was Bellingham square. He would help anyone without ever expecting anything in return. A humble man, a festive man, a loving man who will always be missed and lived through his surviving family.

Ruben was the brother of the late Jose Luis Rosa, the late Gloria Estelle Rosa, and survived by his brother Jorge Antonio Rosa & his sister Norma Rosa. He is survived by his 4 beloved children Rosemary Rosa, Hector Ruben Rosa, Deisy Raquel Rosa, Jorge Ruben Rosa, grandfather of Ashley Gonzalez, Edgar Nerys Jr, Joshua Rosa, Anisha Pacheco, Asia Pacheco, Analyz Rosa, Naisaiah Sanchez, Maylanie Rosa, Jaylanie Rosa, Jorge Pacheco, Damian Cuevas, Hector Cuevas, beloved great grandfather to Sophia Nerys, Marialys Perez, Catalina Hernandez & Serenity Hernandez. Ruben is survived by many nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours in the Carafa Family Funeral Home, 389 Washington Ave., Chelsea on Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 3:00 – 7:00 P.M. Funeral Services will begin in the Funeral Home on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 24th at 9:00 A.M. with a Chapel Service to begin promptly at 10:00 A.M. Services will conclude with interment at Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn.
