MONICA STEINERT

Steinert, Monica (Wulff) Died peacefully at home this morning in the company of her beloved husband Alan, her children, grandchildren and darling dog Horace called 'Baby". The third daughter of Eva and Prof. John Wulff, Monica was a life-long resident of Cambridge. She attended the Brimmer and May School, graduated from Concord Academy in 1957 and was an active member of the school's alumni organization including board service. She was a member of the Bennington College Class of 1961. She leaves behind her spouse of 55 years, her four children Timothy Steinert (spouse Lixia Zhang, children Luca and Natasha ) of Hong Kong, John Steinert (spouse Mirna Goldberger, children Luciana and Miles Steinert, step-children Gabriela and Amanda Horowitz) and Alexandra Steinert-Evoy (spouse Scott Evoy, children Tessa and Sophia) of Watertown and Jessica Aguilera-Steinert (spouse Luis Aguilera, children Diego and Camila) of Jamaica Plain as well as many, many nieces, nephews and their children. Known as Moni to her many friends around Cambridge and beyond, she will be remembered for her kindness to all, an ability to converse comfortably with anyone and particularly for her uncanny ability to discover connections between people separated by distance, generations or otherwise. After a long battle with chronic illness, Moni is now at rest. The family extends its love to her broad community.
