I remember his kindness. Nilus was a man who had a quiet passion for life. A fun friend who enjoyed playing in his band. I last spoke with him in 2011 and his presence always made me feel better. A dear friend gone much to soon. Rest now Nilus. My sincere condolences to his family.

To say good bye to someone you love is never easy. Especially that someone is Nilus. You adored him. Because of that, his memories and his love for you will live on. Love is the only thing never die. I first met Nilus during a visit with him and his wife, my best friend from childhood. I will forever remember him for his hospitality, but most of all for his extensive knowledge and for the lessons in US history during one of our dinners out on the bacony of their home. Last but not least, thank you Nilus for giving Nhung the best of your love. Rest in peace Nilus.

Niles was like my older brother growing up in Oak Square. We played and listened to a lot of music, hung out and laughed a lot. I did not know Nilus well but I was a huge fan of his music with The Jaguars in the 60's. His band played at my first dance at St. Sebastian's. His work with the band inspired me to also take up music something I have enjoyed my whole life.

I am so sorry to learn of Nilus's passing. I really enjoyed working with him. We had so many great conversations about chemistry and physics and I have funny memories of him helping me argue questions with my chemistry professor. Nilus got me through my nursing prerequisites and I am an RN today because of him. He will be missed by many people.
