Nora Breen Obituary

89 years of age, of West Roxbury, MA, formerly of Mission Hill, MA, passed away Monday, October 1, 2007. Devoted wife of the late Thomas F. Breen Jr. for 64 years. Beloved daughter of the late Patrick and Ellen (O'Leary) O'Meara. Loving mother of Mary and her husband Wilfred Gray of Amityville, NY, Thomas F. III, and his wife Mary of Manchester, CT, Ellen and her husband William Silk of Milton, Joanne DeGeorge of West Roxbury, Richard and his wife Barbara of Springfield, MA, Lawrence and his wife Michelle of Franklin, Christine and her husband, Joseph Previtera of Westwood, Barbara and her husband Frederick Zajac of Medfield, and Dorothy and her husband Christopher Miller of Franklin. Also survived by 24 grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren; sister of the late Mary Walker, Helen O'Meara, and Thomas O'Meara. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Oct. 4 at 10 a.m. in the Basilica Of Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Mission Church, 1545 Tremont St., Roxbury. Relatives and friends invited to visiting hours in the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., WEST ROXBURY 2-8 p.m Wednesday, Oct 3rd. Founding member of the West Roxbury Chapter of Massachusetts Citizens for Life; Eucharistic minister at Brigham and Women's and Faulkner Hospitals. She gave her time, talent, and treasures extensively to Mission Church and its schools for over 70 years. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nora's memory may be made to Massachusetts Citizens For Life, 529 Main St., Boston, MA 02129 or Project Bread, 145 Border St., East Boston, MA 02128.
