PATRICK J. "PADDY" CONROY

CONROY, Patrick J. "Paddy" Of Braintree, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on October 19, 2023. He was 76 years old. Beloved husband of Donna Conroy (Palmisano) of Braintree. Cherished father of Patrick J. Conroy, Jr. and his wife Emily of Duxbury and Sean M. Conroy and his wife Allison of Duxbury. Loving grandfather "Daideo" to Patrick J. "PJ" Conroy III, Colin J. Conroy, Hunter Conroy, and Remington "Remi" Conroy. Dear brother to Bridget Quirk of England, Nancy Feeney and her husband Paul of Dorchester, Maureen Lewis of Dublin, Catherine Conroy of Gorey, Ireland, Nora Coyne and her husband Martin of Dedham, Eileen Lee of Dorchester, Michael Conroy of Holbrook, Martin Conroy and his wife Maureen of Quincy; and brothers-in-law, Reno Vecchio and Paddy Lee. Paddy will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives, Local 223 brothers, and countless friends. Born in Rosmuc, County Galway, Ireland to the late Patrick and Kate (Grealish) Conroy, he was the eldest of nine siblings. Paddy and Donna were married in 1978 and raised their family in Dorchester and Braintree. Paddy worked for Local 223 Laborers Union for 30 years until his retirement in 2010. He treasured his family and friends and had a great love for animals, often giving a home to stray cats. Paddy was a proud Irishman, a penchant for Gaelic music, he brought happiness and love wherever he went, and was often referred to by many as a true gentleman. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the Visiting Hours on Wednesday, Oct. 25, from 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH, at 809 Main Street (Rte. 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral Mass Thursday, Oct. 26 at Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth, at 10:30 AM. Burial to follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
