HOFFMAN, Patrick E. Of Wilmington, MA, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2022. Patrick was born on April 23, 1948. Patrick was the son of the late Mary (Connelly) and Edward Hoffman. He was raised in Somerville, MA, attended St. Ann's School and Matignon High School. Patrick graduated from the University of Connecticut where he studied Engineering. He received a Master's of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University and his Doctor of Science degree from University of Massachusetts in Lowell. Patrick is survived by his beloved wife of fifty years, Irene MacIsaac Hoffman; and his children, Ryan P. Hoffman and Ryan's wife Aimee Dollard Hoffman of Reading, and Rori Rachel and her wife Amelia Sahatjian Hoffman of Concord, MA. He is the grandfather of Brendan, Sean, Farrah, Selena and Lucine. He is survived by his extended family members: Karen and John Moran of Maitland, FL, Kristen Rufo of Wilmington, Gretchen and Brian DeAngelo of Lowell, Lauren and Charlie Cochran of Chelmsford, and Liesl Hoffman of Lowell. Patrick was predeceased by his sister, Mary Antonia Hoffman, and by his brother-in-law Patrick Rufo. Patrick is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and by Irene's brothers and sisters and their spouses. Visiting Hours: Family and friends may gather for Visiting Hours at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), WILMINGTON, MA, on Sunday, March 20 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, March 21 at 11:30 a.m. in St. Thomas of Villanova Church at 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington, followed by Interment in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington, MA.
