Maryellen - We worked together at Choate many years ago. I remember your happiness over the news that you were having triplets. My heart goes out to you and your children. Maryellen, my heart and prayers are with you and your children. I worked with Paul at BKB where he was loved by everyone. He never lost his cool. People enter our lives but Paul is the type of man who enters your heart. I remember him showing off the pictures of his precious children with a huge smile.

Dear Barry Family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I did not know Paul personally, but my husband did. They worked together on many occasions, including the overnight detail the night/morning of the accident. Being the wife of a Trooper myself, I know that one worries every time they walk out the door, especially with all the extra details and overtime shifts that they take up. I cannot express the shock and sadness that both my husband and I felt when we heard the news. It was truly unbelievable. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
May God comfort you and your children in the days ahead and may Paul rest in peace.

I knew Paul and his sister Mary for many years at BankBoston. He was a kind and gentle soul who was nice to everyone he met. He spoke of Maryellen and the kids often and was so excited by the birth of each child. My deepest sympathies go out to Maryellen and the entire Barry family at this time of great sorrow. As the Mother of a lost Trooper, I especially reach out to Paul's Mom. You are in my prayers. If he could, our Ronnie would be there with you tomorrow in that "sea of blue" for his "Brother". To the Barry Family, Please know how sorry I am for this untimely accident. I know Paul loved each and everyone of you with such a big heart. I first met Paul thru BKB and he was the one that helped me get my son in CAMP FATIMA. I remember he used to tease me all the time because of my LOVE IN ACTION bumper sticker. Now we all know his LOVE IS in ACTION. I will think of Paul each year I bring my son to camp and know he is watching over his charges with a gentle hand. Maryellen, I know this must be an extremely difficult time for you and your family. Everyone knows how special Paul was and how much he cared and loved you and the children.
I worked with Paul at Bank Boston when he was still in high school and watched as he went through college, got married, had children and then left to join the State Police force. He was one of the nicest, caring people I have met in my lifetime.
To Paul's parents I want to say that the death of a child is always a tragedy, no matter what the cause may be. Nothing could be harder then facing such a loss. My heart goes out to you.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Paul..I worked with him for several years at BankBoston before he joined the State Police..I remember when his children started to come he was so proud, especially excited at the arrival of the triplets..he was so happy when he was accepted to the State Police and we all took him out to celebrate his "new job"..this world will be a much smaller place without him but Heaven just got a lot bigger..God bless him and God bless and watch over his family..Life is not forever, Love is...Rest in Peace..

He used to pick me up during snow storms and drive me to work....I remember when we got together and took him out to celebrate his "new Job" of which he had so longed to be a part of..he was the kind of guy you would want your daughter to bring home.He was a loving son to his parents and a wonderful husband to his wife who he adored..He was so thrilled when the "babies" started coming especially the triplets and said he wanted a "ball team"....a devoted husband, a caring son, a loving brother and most of all a terrific DAD to seven children..REST IN PEACE, PAUL AND TO HIS FAMILY MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY..I will always remember him in my prayers..JOANNE SCARBOROUGH
