I am very sorry to hear that Mr. Coolidge passed away recently. I worked for Mr. Coolidge at Allied Resin and Castall for many years. He was a very kind, generous, and caring man; and he will be missed. I've never met a boss like Mr. Coolidge. He was a great man and truly cared for his employees and their well being. I very private person; but a very sincere and thoughtful man. My condolences to the Coolidge family. Donna Gibbons

I only learned of Mr. Coolidge's passing today. He was truly one of the nicest men I've ever known, a member of "the greatest generation" and one of the last of his kind. I worked for him at Allied Resin and Castall for several years, and you could not ask for a better boss. He truly cared for the people there and was generous towards us all.
My thoughts & prayers go out to his entire family.

A second father and a great uncle

We admired Paul so much, as did everyone. A gracious and modest man. Accomplished in so many areas - the arts, natural history and environmentalism to name a few. He did many kindnesses for others we know of and far more that we'll never know of.

Paul Coolidge was indeed an exemplary example of all that is best of New England: empathetic, deeply thoughtful...in fact philosophic, multi talented (he could improvise fugues at the piano), generous with, and hugely interested in others but equally discrete about himself, reserved and dignified, appreciative of humour, broadly knowledgeable, but focussed on his family and ethical living...all in all the one man I always wanted to spend time with... while recognizing the high value he himself put on time! I felt priviledged to know him for >85 years. Nicholas Cunningham (a first cousin)

Paul was such a love and such a gentleman. He took us for a picnic in his canoe on Blueberry Island. He and Gretchen welcomed us to his house for Unitarian Circle Dinners. He was the King to Mary Eliot's Queen at our Medieval Feast. He came to every potluck and party and always had a smile and a big hello. We will miss him terribly. We extend our sympathies to his family. Peggy & Chris Kitchenham

Holidays will never be the same without "Uncle Paul" and his signature ice cream delivery. Now, R.I.P.
