PAUL W. SHEEHY

SHEEHY , Paul W. Longtime resident of Needham, formerly of South Boston, passed away suddenly on March 30, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Joan (Fay) Sheehy. Devoted father of Kathryn Kester and her husband Joseph of NY, NY., Paul Sheehy Jr., Alison Sheehy, and Amy Doherty and her fiancé Tim Flynn, all of Needham. Loving Papa of Riley, Lily, and Tatum Doherty and Kathryn Kester. Son of the late Cecilia and Edward Sheehy. Brother of the late Edward Sheehy. Cousin of the late Thomas, Kevin, Gerald, and Michael Martin. Proud graduate of Christopher Columbus High School and Boston College. Paul played varsity hockey at Boston College, Class of 1957. He coached hockey at Marian High School, Boston College High School, and Needham Youth Hockey. Known to many as "Coach", Paul enjoyed his retirement years working at Needham Golf Club. He was a longtime faithful parishioner at St. Joseph Church. Visiting hours at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., NEEDHAM, on Monday, April 5th from 4-6pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Tuesday, April 6th at 9am, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, Needham, at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited, please follow all covid guidelines. Paul will be interred with his late wife at Calvary Cemetery, Winchester. Interment will be private.
