Paula Bakas Obituary

Of Honolulu, HI, formerly of North Reading, MA passed away Thursday after losing a long battle with Cancer. Born in Cambridge, MA January 25, 1949 her family moved to North Reading in 1956. She was the daughter of the late Angelone G. Bakas and Mary V. Bakas (Power). Paula graduated from NRHS and went on to Tufts Dental College. She worked as a Dental Assistant for many years in Boston before moving to Hawaii. Paula is survived by 6 sisters, 2 brothers; Angela Satkowski, Hope, NJ, Stephanie Butt, Reading, MA, Julia Benson, Chester, NH, Karen Walsh, Townsend, MA, Alexandra Caldwell, No. Brookfield, MA, Mary Bakas, Brewster, MA, George Bakas, Dracut, MA, Kevin Bakas, Clinton, MA and 21 nieces, nephews and 1 grand nephew. A memorial service will be held at St. Theresa's Church, Winter St., N. Reading on Wednesday, October 24th at 11:00 AM. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
