Joanie:
I just found out about Peter's death. I am so sorry.
I will always remember him when I was a kid living next door. He always had a cigar and a really nice car!
One day when I was walking to school in the winter time, my mother made me wear my boots. I didn't want to wear them. Peter hid them by the side of his house and let me change into my shoes! Lol He loved kids! I picked up the boots after school!
Later on in life, when he came to visit his parents on Friday nights, I would look forward to seeing him pull up and would wave to him.
When I was a teenager, I visited him at the store when it was still in the north end. I picked up some groceries for my dad and when I went to pay for them he said, give this girl the Dartmouth Street discount!, He then took my friend and I next door to the Pushcart Restaurant and told the owner, give these kids anything they want to eat. It's on me. He was so kind.
Take good care,
Karen (Ferretti) Sullivan
