PETER V. DEGEORGE

1928 - 2013

DeGEORGE, Peter V. 85, of Stoneybrook Dr. died Mon., Aug. 19 at the Milford Countryside Manor in Milford after an illness. He is survived by his wife of 20 years Kathleen K. DeGeorge; a daughter Karen Chester; a son Christopher DeGeorge; and a granddaughter Paige DeGeorge. Born in Boston, MA on June 20, 1928 he was the son of Vincent and Camilla (Sinisgalli) DeGeorge and lived in Whitinsville for the past 16 years. Peter graduated from Babson Institute in Accounting where he was Valedictorian of his class and also Harvard School of Business. He was the Second Vice President at The New England in Boston until his retirement at age 62. He served in the U.S. Air Force as well and the U.S. Navy and enjoyed reading and traveling with his wife. Always a gentleman, Peter will be remembered as a quiet and thoughtful man who was always generous and willing to help someone in need. His funeral will be held on Fri., Aug. 23 from Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St., WHITINSVILLE, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in Good Shepherd Church, 121 Linwood St., Linwood. Burial will follow at a later date and at the convenience of the family.
