I remember Peter from his extraordinary presence at the Sloan School. What superb spirit and what a fine friend.

Peter O’Farrell, the Irishman with a heart of gold. He enjoyed those from all walks of life, inviting them to his house for a drink and an evening of interesting conversation. I brought several friends and my wife to meet Peter while attending school and working in Rhode Island. They all left with the same impression of Peter, a man of great intelligence, grace, and just fun to be around. I will miss Peter and extend my family’s condolences to Karen, Nathan, and Leah.

Peter was a very special person. From the first time we met I felt a kinship with him. He was uncommonly intelligent, witty and a great conversationalist. Our family extends it's deepest sympathy to Karen, Nathan and Leah.

Peter was a wonderful, charming, and intelligent man at the prime of his life and career. As a professional colleague, I know he will be mourned and missed by many, many people. My heart goes out to his extended family and close friends, and most especially to his dear Karen, who will no doubt mourn and miss him most of all.

My condolences to the O'Farrell family. As a fellow St. Vincent alum, I know many of Peter's friends from the class of '68, and had heard many great things about him. I am sorry that we never had the chance to meet, but he will remain a presence in the lives of his friends and fellow classmates.
