5/11/19 To the family and friends of Peter Warren Rogers: Today is Pete's Memorial Service, in Swampscott MA, which unfortunately I am unable to attend. I think of Pete and recall college and immediate post-college years spent with Pete, Beatrice and other good friends. We had adventures on a long trip out West, back when gas was $ 0.29/gallon. Pete, as many have observed, was a master story teller - I still remember some of his tall tales and recounted escapades! - and a keen observer of the human condition. He surprised me and I expect others when his latent talent as a painter emerged and he made that his profession. While I saw less of him and Beatrice in recent years, it was always a pleasure when we did spend time together, to be reminded of his strongly individual approach to life, and of his commitment to family, friends and community. He will be very missed.

When someone we love falls asleep in death, we treasure the fond memories we have of them. May those cherished memories of a life well lived and God's promise at John 6:40 bring you a measure of comfort. Please accept my heart felt sympathy.
