This was written by my son Samuel L. Hatch:
This is my grandfather Philip McNiff
I wanted to share some photos of him in hopes to lighten some people up! My grandfather has lived 90 (and 2/3 of it married to my grandmother) amazing years on this planet, he is responsible for 4 children, who gave him grand kids, who gave him great grand kids who will celebrate his life with love. This existance we all have wouldn´t have been possible without him, a poor Irish orphan who was able through hard work and self sacrifice give his family the life he never got to live. My grandfather worked well into his 80s and remained sharp as a tack until recently and I called him over a year ago and asked him what was it that fulfilled his life was there anything that he wanted to do bucket list or go somewhere and this man only asked for one thing, his entire family get together. He knows more then I ever would or could about how important that is and without family coming together this life isn´t worth the same to live. To anyone who is LUCKY enough to still have grand parents and parents in this world... love them, call them be there when you can for support you never know when your goodbyes may-be. Slánte to a peaceful passing for the most noble man I´ll ever know, Gramps
