Benoit, Raymond A. Of Somerville, June 6, 2015. Loving husband of 62 years to Gilda L. (Damiano). Beloved father of Paul Benoit of Somerville, Rita McCue and her husband Jack of Quincy, John Benoit and his wife Nancy of Fitchburg, Susan Roswell and her husband Matt of Baltimore, MD, and the late David F. and Raymond J. Benoit. Loving Father-in-law of Rachel Benoit of VT, and Marizabel Benoit of Malden. Cherished Pepé of Chris Reynolds, Matt Benoit and his wife Kelly, and Elisabeth, Sam, Kevin, Amanda, Nicole, and Lauren Benoit. Proud Great Grandfather of Stella Benoit. Dear brother of Lena Mahoney, Bernadette, Archie, and Andy Benoit, and the late Sr. Rita Marie, John, Leon, and Paul Benoit, Phyllis Murphy, Malvina O'Neil, and Anne Duffy. Also survived by many relatives and friends. U.S. Navy Veteran. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at St. Catherine of Genoa Church, 185 Summer Street, Somerville at 10am, followed by burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Raymond's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Dear Mrs Benoit and Family,So sorry for your loss. Ray was a wonderful man and I will miss not being able to talk with him.My wife and daughter met him last month when he stopped by my home to see if I was up for Verna,s{coffee]-- I regret not being home that day!The first comment from my family was how nice of a man they found Ray to be!
