I am so sorry to hear this, I was just thinking about him the other day...
I always credit Dr. Blocker for my early training in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus-- with fornix based adjustable sutures using the microscope! He was an important figure in our organizations and local training programs.

Doctor Blocker operated on my sisters lazy eye. She had been teased for years and years. Doctor Blocker literally saved her life with that surgery. We are forever grateful to him.

We just received the word about wonderful Ricky; may he rest in peace. I certainly recall my interaction with Ricky and Ellen through my years teaching the Blocker kids, and we spent some beautiful time in Italy together back in 2005. What a lovely, generous, genuine, altruistic man, someone everyone will miss. We send love to all of the Blocker family. Ricky will be sorely missed.
