So many memories of Robb, first as a parent, then as a teacher, then as a friend! Robb, I will always think of you every time I grade a student ("Are all your students 'A' students?")and getting dressed for school ("Is today casual day?"). I miss you coming through the back door and sitting at my desk, opening drawers, making comments...Thank you for taking care of my children, and thank you for giving me the opportunity to become the teacher I am today. I hope you are watching and are proud (but I know you are still making comments :))You put together the greatest primary grade team ever- that is your legacy! I will love you and remember you always!

To Frank Sr. and the entire Arciero family.
I never had the pleasure to meet Robb, but after reading all the wonderful things his former students, colleagues, and friends have written about him, Ralph Waldo Emerson's great poem "SUCCESS" comes to mind which Robb surely personified:
"to laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children; to earn the approbation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one's self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived-- this is to have succeeded.

My deepest sympathy for the loss of such a wonderful man, who did so much for so many.

To the Arciero family: I knew Robb from his old TWA days. He always made me laugh and we shared some good times throughout the years. In reading the kind words from all his friends in this book, it is clear that Robb grew into quite an upstanding and beloved figure in his community. May he rest in peace.

To Mr. A's family,

I just heard about the loss of this wonderful man and want you to know how he truly touched and changed so many lives! I was a student at St. Pat's when Mr. A came and on my very first time of meeting him I was eating a piece of candy, that I then began to choke on and he saved me! I tell that story to this day and we always shared a special connection that from day forward! I'm sorry for your loss, but know that Mr. A will never be forgotten....thank you Mr. A

Words cannot express the sadness in my heart at the loss of such a great man and friend. I was fortunate enough to have been in Mr. Arciero's first graduating class at Holy Name and I was also fortunate enough to have had Mr. Arciero as my daughter's principal at Holy Name until his departure. My memories are beyond fond and his legacy is far greater than that which can be described. I will never forget the life, pizazz, class and love that he brought to Holy Name Parish in 1988. His kindness, compassion and friendship when I lost my dad that year are something I will never forget. The rides in his yellow Mercedes over to St. Patrick's for the Puttin on the Hits shows were one of the many highlights. I always got to ride in front! Thank you Mr. Arciero...from the bottom of my heart. "Memories Light the Corners of my Mind..." "To Sir, with Love" and
"Forever Young" were the graduation songs for the class of 1989... how appropriate. May the angels lead you to paradise where you shall rest in well deserved peace and bask in the glory of our Lord. Sleep well Mr. Arciero! With Much love and gratitude,

To the Arciero Family,
There are times during our lives when someone touches your soul and leaves an indelible footprint...such was the mark left by Rob Arciero. It was an honor and a pleasure to have known him and to call him "friend". He exuded vitality and breathed life into Holy Name School. His wit was infectious his smile was heartwarming. The children loved going to school...he made it a fun place to learn. He poured himself in the life of Holy Name School and it resulted in his being respected and loved for his contributions to the moulding of all our children's lives. The world has lost a marvelous man and I have lost a friend...may he find a classroom in heaven and continue his triumphs with the angels

Dear Mr Arciero, we just want to say "Thank you" for the wonderfull years you gave to us at Holy Name. Coming from California with our 4 year old Daniel was a little scary for us as parents, but we felt welcome and part of the Holy Name family right away. You were the greatest Principal that any parent can find for their son, and a great man too, always generous and friendly. You always had a smile in your face for us, thank you very much!!
You will be remembered forever.

WHEN I MOVED BACK HOME FROM CALIFORNIA WITH MY CHILDREN IN 1989, I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED TO MEET THE PRINCIPAL OF HOLY NAME; ROBB ARCIERO. HE WAS SO HANDSOME AND DRESSED IMPECCABLY WELL. I HAD LEFT CALIFORNIA BUT MR. CALIFORNIA WAS AT HOLY NAME. HE BROUGHT SO MUCH LIFE, SO MUCH CLASS AND STYLE TO HOLY NAME. ROBB HAD A "SPECIAL" SOMETHING THAT DREW PEOPLE TO HIM. ROBB HAD A WAY OF CHANGING BORING SCHOOL EVENTS INTO VERY SPECIAL HAPPENINGS THAT PROVIDED LIFE LONG MEMORIES. IT WAS A PLEASURE AND AN HONOR TO HAVE KNOWN ROBB ARCIERO. THE PLEASURE WAS ALL MINE ROBB!!

To the Arciero family & close friends,
My most sincere condolences for your loss. I don't think I've seen Mr. Arciero for about 18 years, but I was still stunned and and saddened to hear the news. Mr. Arciero resuscitated St. Pat's in Watertown -- motivating students, parents, and teachers alike to really invest in the community. I'll never forget the "Puttin' on the Hits," the dances, the elaborate student council inaugurations...He was an amazing teacher as well (I've never forgotten the various types of pronouns due to his little song -- "P.P.I.I.I.R.R.D!!") Most importantly, though, he was such a role model -- taking it upon himself to try to teach a bunch of hooligans like us a thing or two about "class." God love him. I'm sure he's cracking up all the souls in Heaven right now.

My deapest sympanthy to the Arciero Family. What a shock! Robb was a real nice person & Principal @ The Winthrop School. I missed him when he left the Winthrop School in Melrose. I'm the Director of the Morning Drop-Off Program for parents who have to go off to work before school starts. I spend time with 15-17 children & we do fun things together.... each morning Robb would be at the front door letting the children in, as I was leaving, Robb would always compliment me on how I looked...One morning he said... you look like you just walked out of a magazine, he couldn't understand why I was dressed up knowing I was at school for 1 hr. and 15 mins. Dress up for an hour?? That morning he learned that I had another job! I had to be at work (Insurance Co.) in town by 8:30 AM. We both laughed about it...Robb had a special talent..he knew how to be kind, always upbeat and could put a smile on your face.....Sadly missed...Your Winthrop School Friend....GINA CRONIN...MAY YOU REST IN PEACE ROBB.
