Dear Donehey and Linden Family,
I just got word of Bob's passing and I am so sorry. I know how close you all are and how much of a loss this is.
Friday night games will not be the same without him in the stands watching Mitch.
I'm glad I got to meet him and I enjoyed our chats as we watched Erik and my son play youth football together. He was a great man.

Dear Shirley: I was so sorry to learn about Bob's passing. From all reports, he was a great guy. And, he was a Boston College Golden Eagle, as was my own father. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Please give my best to your sister, Karolyn and her husband, Joe. Love, John Corcoran

Shirley, Family and Jane,
Please accept my sincere sorrow of your loss. Most of you do not know me. Shirely, we have met a number of times and Jane probably remembers me.
Bob and I were very close buddies during our younger days, We played baseball and football at Clinton's Field, a rough overgrown large garden. Bob and I were both players in the Sacred Heart Marching Band. He played a mean trumpet. We attended BC High together and met every morning on Hyde Park Ave. and took the MTA trolley to the South End and then to Dorchester. During Lent we went to Mass every morning at Sacred Heart and on the way home had to stop at the local bakery for a fresh , still warm jelly doughnut. We played CYO and American Legion Baseball. We even joined the Air National Guard. Spent many 2 week camp at Otis Air Force Base on the Cape. There were many joyous weekends as I was invited to Humarock Beach and stayed with Bob's mother, father and Jane. We were very close buddies, But as for so many our lifes took different directions when we went off to college. But one huge favor Bob did for me was to introduce me to the love of my life, my wife of 50 years. This has brought such love, happiness and joy to my life he never new. He was truly a great friend.
