NEEDHAM, Robert Boynton October 23, 1940 - March 10, 2026

Bob's whole life was centered around his loving family and helping others. Bob and his wife, Karol (Johansen) were married for 47 years. They shared their love with their stepson, Jason; and three wonderful grandchildren: Jackson 25, Ava 22 and Sophia 20. Bob enjoyed all music genre and had quite a collection. In later years, he took trombone lessons and would sing along to the radio knowing all the lyrics. Spring and Fall weekends were enjoyed in Ogunquit, Maine, walking little Lexi, a Havanese and chatting with the neighbors. Summer weekends were enjoyed at Great East Lake, Sanbornville, NH, with his and his brother's family and cousins, Bruce and Jeff and their families. Bob never took an actual vacation. He always made himself available for client phone calls whenever they needed him. He loved grocery shopping, cooking, dancing, water sports. In his earlier years: tennis, racquet ball and golf.

Bob kept his Winchester High School friends close by, being on the reunion committee of their many reunions. His classmates from Dartmouth College and Amos Tuck school were also friendships he continued up to the present. He was awarded the CFA designation as well as others.

Bob founded Needham Advisory Corp. in 1985. He loved his clients and helping them with their financial objectives. "Why would I ever retire from something I love doing?" He actually worked until the day he died.

Bob shared his investment knowledge by being on the board of directors for many companies and organizations. He was a board member of Appleton Partners since its inception 1986-2026, Franciscan Children's from 1996, being the President from 2010-2016, Merrimack Valley YMCA and the Methodist Foundation. He was a lifelong supporter of Dartmouth College and served in many capacities such as interviewing students at Phillips Academy, the Dartmouth Book Award and fund raising. A Celebration of Life Ceremony is being held at the Stevens Estate, 723 Osgood Street, North Andover, MA. Saturday, April 11, at 11:00 am. Please wear a smile and colorful attire.
