ROBERT P. TASSINARI

1926 - 2015

Tassinari, Robert P. 88, of North Andover, formerly of Andover and Harwich Port, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Edgewood Retirement Community in North Andover. Robert was born in Arlington, Massachusetts on September 13, 1926 to the late Robert and Teda (Borghi) Tassinari. Robert was a graduate of Arlington High School and received his degree in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University. He served in the U.S. Army during World War ll. Robert 's career was in the utility business which began as an engineer at Massachusetts Electric Company and he retired from Eastern Utility Associates where he was an Executive Vice President. Robert is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris (Reagan) Tassinari of North Andover; his daughter Ellen M. Ford of North Andover and her children, Kate, Brian and Meghan; his son Paul M. Tassinari, his wife Sandy of Westborough and their children, Anne, Tim, and Greg; his son Mark F. Tassinari, his wife Nancy of Andover and their children, Paul, Tom and John. Robert was predeceased by his son R. Peter Tassinari and is survived by Peter's wife Melissa Tassinari of Bethesda, MD and their children Mike, Emily and Sara. He is also survived by his five great grandchildren and his sister Gloria Tassinari of Belmont and brother Alfred Tassinari of Stoneham as well as several nieces and nephews. Robert loved to spend his summers on Cape Cod with his family and friends. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, May 4 at 10am at St. Michael's Church in North Andover. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover. Family and friends may visit on Sunday, May 3 from 3-7pm at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street North Andover.
