Dear Kurt:
Maura and I were stunned and deeply saddned to hear about Ruthie's passing. I've known her about as long as anyone...going back to our childhood when Dad and I used to borrow the Whitbeck rotor-tiller every spring and fall. And it seems like only yesterday that the four of us were newly married and living in our first apartments in Newton Corner. Our thoughts are with you and your family. Mom and dad send their heartfelt wishes from Georgia, too.

My son, Geoff, and I were saddened to hear of your profound loss.
Ruthie and I struck up a friendship while waiting for Kurt and Geoff to successfully complete their Driver's License Road Tests.
The boys continue their friendship and we became e-mail pen-pals. I will miss Ruthie's sense of humor and warmth.
