I want your family to know that we think and talk about Sam often, as an inspiration and great person. He was my son's friend and roomie. I also want to say how profoundly moved I was at the strength, spiritual wisdom and depth of honoring who Sam was at his service. Your loss is heartbreaking and while I don't know you, I pray for your comfort.

I had the privilege of being Sam's 5th grade teacher at the New Testament Christian School. I will always remember Sam as a bright and totally delightful student. May the sweet comfort of the Holy Spirit enfold you in His Presence.
We send our sincere sympathy, love and prayers.

We are so sorry for the loss of Sam. We know he was a very special young man, so filled with light - the kind of soul this world sorely needs. (He was my son's roommate in Brooklyn.) Sending prayers for comfort and peace to all his family and loved ones.
Very Sincerely,
The Kilgore Family

My favorite memory of Sam and I was from last December. I had a very important big interview and Sam helped me study for it all night. When I woke up he snuck a post it on my door the read " you're a lion Ian and this city is a jungle go take what's your"! That kind of selfless devotion to helping the people around him was what Sam was all about.
