Stephen J. Dash

Age 81 died on July 19, 2003. Residence Hilltop Dr. Bellingham, MA formerly of Braintree and Boston, MA. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis E. (Skorobogaty) Dash and former husband of Grace (Harrington) Dash and loving father of Robert S. Dash of Bellingham, MA, Elaine Barie of Scarsdale, NY, Lorraine S. Papasodero of Middleboro, MA. Mr. Dash worked as a Section Editor for the Providence Journal Newspaper in Providence, RI for 15 years till retiring in 1987 and formerly worked for the Boston Herald for 20 years as a Section Editor and formerly worked for the Patriot Ledger Newspaper for 10 years where he started his Newspaper Career. Member of the Newspaper Guild. Resident of Bellingham for 1 year and formerly of Braintree, MA for most of his life and also Boston, MA. He was a WWII Air Force Veteran serving with the 386 Fighter Squadron 365 Fighter Group as a Fighter Pilot. He received the Distinguished Unit Badge, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal Soldier's Medal, Air Medal. He was a member of the Hell Hawk 365th Fighter Group Association. He enjoyed traveling the world and enjoyed photography, and was an avid wood worker. He was a Graduate of Boston English High School and attended Boston University. Funeral will be held Friday 9 AM from Cartier's Funeral Home, 151 So. Main St., BELLINGHAM, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM in Assumption Church, Moody St., Bellingham, MA. Interment St. Michael Cemetery Boston, MA. Visiting hours Thursday 6-9 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
