1973 - 2022

WAGNER, Stephen R. Poet, Father, Husband Age 48, of Amesbury, passed away at his home January 7, 2021, after a 9-year battle with cancer. At his side were his wife, Susan, and daughters, Sophie and Cecelia. Steve was the 2018-19 Poet Laureate for the City of Amesbury. He was the author of 4 volumes of poetry, a collection of short stories, and a novel. Steve earned a B.A. with a major in Theater from The University of Vermont (1998) and is a graduate of Arlington High School (1992). Steve is survived by his wife and two daughters; his mother Barbara; and brother Carl and family, of Arlington, MA. There will be a Celebration of Life at Barewolf Brewery on Sunday, February 6 from 1 to 6pm. In lieu of flowers, please give to The Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society in Salisbury.
