WIGMORE, Stephen F. "Wiggy" Of Cohasset, passed on August 16, 2024. Beloved husband of Mary Wigmore and the late Grace Ann Wigmore and friends and companion of 30 years to the late Nancy Noonan. Beloved father of late Thomas Wigmore, Anthony Wigmore; and daughter in-law, Deirdre Wigmore (fiancé Ernie Vohnoutka). Loving son of late William and Katherine Wigmore. Dear brother of late Joan Habbep. Loving uncle of David Maginnis, Nate Habbep and Stephanie Chase. Loving grandfather of Gianna Schiavo and Penelope Wigmore. Stephen passed peacefully Friday, the 16th, surrounded by family and friends. Born in Cohasset, he graduated from Cohasset High in 1953 and served in the Navy 1954 - 1958 during the Korean War aboard the USS MAGS. Stephen worked for the town of Cohasset for 52 years, was a little league umpire for many years for Cohasset, post commander for the George H. Mealy post 118 and marched in the Memorial Day parade for 52 years, the last 35 he led his comrades and friends. He enjoyed life, helping others, music, keno and scratch tickets. Wiggy will be sadly missed by all. Family and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours, on Friday, August 23, 2024, between 4-8 pm, at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home, 1 Summer St., COHASSET, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 24, at 10 am, at St. Anthony's Church. Interment at Woodside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers/remembrances in his memory may be made to the Thomas Wigmore Scholarship or Old Colony Hospice, 670 Washington St., Braintree, MA 02184.
