FLAHERTY, Thomas P. "Todda" Of South Boston, 73, passed away surrounded by his family on June 29, 2017. Beloved husband of 48 years to Jeanne (Casey) Flaherty. Devoted father to Thomas "Tommy" Flaherty Jr., BFD, and Annmarie (Miller), Sean Flaherty, BPD and Patty Webb and Terence "Terry" Flaherty, BFD and Brigitte Walsh, all of South Boston. Cherished Papa to Casey, Thomas III, Erin and Sean Flaherty Jr. Loving son to the late John and Mary (Joyce) Flaherty and son-in-law to the late Joseph and Georgianna Casey. Loving brother to John "Dudy" Flaherty, Honarable Michael and the late Margaret Flaherty, Margaret and Richard Swanson, Anna and Ronald Adams, Eleanor and William Kasper, Francis and Cheryl Flaherty and the late Winifred and John McGrath, Mary "Sis" and Robert "Bib" Devine. Loving brother-in-law and friend to James and Carol Casey of Braintree. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Tommy was a proud Veteran, United States Army, Viet Nam. He was a Boston Firefighter for 34 years and with his brother Dudy, owned the Cornerstone Restaurant for 40 years. Visitation in The O'Brien Funeral Home, 146 Dorchester Street, SOUTH BOSTON, on Sunday from 3 - 8 PM. Funeral Mass in St. Brigid Church, 845 East Broadway, South Boston, on Monday at 10:00AM. Interment, Blue Hills Cemetery Braintree. Relatives and friends are invited to attend all services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the South Boston Special Kids and Young Adults, c/o East Boston Savings Bank, 708 East Broadway, South Boston, MA 02127
