A shock to come across this news this evening (20 January 2024). Tom was a friend from UMASS and best man at my wedding in 1973, in Chicago. Wonderful guy, and very knowledgeable about world and US History. I never ceased to learn from him.

I worked with Tom for 8 fun years at Winchester Hospital. His witty humor always made for a fun day at work and he often has wise advice to pass along to me. He always made sure there was an extra cheese pizza for me in the kitchen at the end of the night. Thank you for the laughs and memories, my friend

We are all going to miss Tommy. I had the great pleasure of working with the Chef at Winchester Hospital for many years. He had a great knowledge of many things, in fact we would often pick a topic before Tommy would get to work just to see if he had any information on it. Many times he would not only know the subject but read it to us in verse and chapter off the top of his head.
All of the things he would talk about, which made him the happiest, was talking about his family. He was very proud of John and Billy. He loved talking about all the years he coached and how Judy would go to all the games.
I would see him at the Little League games and Varsity Football games supporting his grandchildren.
My sympathy goes out to all of his family. He was truly one of a kind. All those years he coached, was a Chef, and being married, Tommy had a a lot of experiences in life, which he shared with all us.

I worked with Tom as a young adult for a handful of years. Wether it was Tom telling a story about his meatloaf competition or just mentoring me in aspects of life. Tom always had time to impart some of his wisdom or charm. It was a pleasure to know Tom and maybe we’ll finally catch up for that beer down the line. RIP

So sorry to hear of Tom's passing. My family lived next door. Tom was the neighborhood social director. He invented games to play, contests. Tom was the best at everything, just ask him. Hide and seek. It took hours to find him. Sometimes we just gave up and just went home. He was a lot of fun. Hid sister used to baby sit for us and we would beg her to bring Tommy, sometimes she did and there was always chaos. But we loved it. He will be remembered as one of brooking street best. RIP

Tom was a "gentle giant" to his neighbors. He was always willing to give a shout Hi or a casual wave. He will be truly missed by his loving neighbors where he lived. A ray of sunshine indeed. Our condolences to Tom´s family and loved ones.
