Warren Chase Obituary

Warren W. Chase, Sr., 91, formerly Rose Hill Way of Waltham, Ma., died December 25, 2001 at Bayview Health Care in Waterford, CT. He was born December 19, 1910 in Watertown, Ma. the son of the late Leroy M. and Lura E. Wood Chase. Mr. Chase attended local schools in Watertown and later graduated from Burdett College in Boston, Ma. with an Associate Degree in Accounting. He married the former Evelyn Lockhart Hoskins on May 16, 1936 in Watertown, Ma. Mrs. Chase died April 20, 1996. He was employed for many years at the former Union Market National Bank as a supervisor of Commercial Loan Dept. in Watertown, Ma, retiring in 1975. He attended Grace Chapel in Lexington, Ma. and was a member of the Victory Masonic Lodge in Watertown, Ma. Mr. Chase played baseball in the Watertown Summer Baseball League, was an avid baseball, football fan and enjoyed playing golf. Mr. Chase loved to travel, doing crossword puzzles, read Western Novels and was gifted playing the piano. He is survived by a son: Warren W. Chase, Jr. of Waltham, Ma. Two daughters: Carol J. Blodgett of Waterford, Ct. and Janet L. Lowther of Lexington, Ma. A brother, Donald Chase of Willimantic, Ct. Seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by 2 brothers: Erle and Leland Chase. A sister, Evelyn Chase. A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2002 at 2:00PM from the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London, Ct. Burial in Mt. Feake Cemetery in Waltham, Ma. will be private. Donations in his memory to Alzheimers Association of CT, 2911 Dexwell Ave., Hamden, CT 06518.
