Of South Boston, September 20, 2007. Beloved husband of 53 years to Virginia (D'Attilio) Jenness. Devoted father of Kathleen Lally and her husband Kevin. Cherished Grandfather of Gregory William Lally. Brother of Helen Scanlon, Anna Sullivan, Rosemary Foley and her husband Pat and the late Ruth Walsh, Agnes Reagan, Dorothy Johnson, Marie Itri, Frederick and Richard Jenness. Brother-in-law of Elizabeth Sweeney, John D'Attilio, Theresa Buccieri, Louis D'Attilio, Elena D'Attilio and the late William D'Attilio. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the O'Brien Funeral Home, 146 Dorchester St, SOUTH BOSTON, Monday at 9:00AM. Funeral Mass in Gate of Heaven Church at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 PM. Interment St. Michael's Cemetery, Roslindale. Retired 32 years from Boston Police Department. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gate of Heaven School, 609 East Fourth St., South Boston, MA 02127.
