Andrea "Audrey" McLaughlin

MCLAUGHLIN Andrea “Audrey” 85 of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, passed away on October 23, 2014. Loving companion of 50 years to James Powers, with who she shared her home, until his death in 2011. Born in Boston but raised in Dorchester for most of her life, she was the daughter of the late Domenic and Grace Saccardo. Audrey’s happiest times were those spent with her family. She greatly enjoyed cooking for her family, hosting large family spaghetti nights every Thursday until her illness prevented her from continuing. She was the center of her large and loving family and was cherished by all who knew her. Loving mother of Carol Frasu and her husband Steve of Largo, FL, Paul McLaughlin of Henderson, NV, Robert McLaughlin of Quincy, James McLaughlin and his wife Jackie of Braintree and Andreanna Politano and her husband Richard of Wells, ME. She is survived by 9 grandchildren, “Nana Banana” to 5 beloved great- grandchildren and close family friend and caregiver, Diane Dunner of Quincy. She was preceded in death by her grandson Michael Barrett. Dear sister of Barbara Saccardo, Anthony Saccardo and the late Phyllis Viola. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 12:00-4:00 P.M. at the Hamel, Wickens & Troupe Funeral Home, 26 Adams Street, QUINCY CENTER.
