Christopher McNamee Obituary

Christopher J. McNamee of Plymouth passed away unexpectedly at home on September 8, 2023, at the age of sixty-two. He was the beloved husband of Lisa Marie (Bruce) McNamee; the loving father of Griffin and Nickolas McNamee of Plymouth; stepfather of Jessica Thomas of Plymouth; and brother of Dennis McNamee and his wife Patty of New Jersey. He also leaves his nephews, Brendan, and Michael McNamee, along with extended family and many friends.

Chris was born in Norwood on March 31, 1961, to the late Francis and Evelyn (Hall) McNamee. He grew up in Norwood, where he was an avid hockey player, and graduated from Norwood High School in 1979. Following in his father's footsteps, he joined the Pipefitters Local 537 in 1984, where he remained for thirty-eight proud years until his retirement in April 2022. Chris was a member of the Cold Spring Club in Plymouth and coached his sons in Little League Baseball. He enjoyed boating, golfing, Boston sports, and regular trips to Fort Myers Beach in Florida. Most of all, he enjoyed the comfort of his home and the time that he spent with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all.

Chris's family invites you to a period of visitation on Monday, September 18, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 373 Court Street, Plymouth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 or www.stjude.org.
