Gerard Bostwick Townsend

TOWNSEND Gerard Bostwick, died at home on Monday, December 15, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was born in Montclair, NJ on April 15, 1929 to Violet Ramsay and Gerard Bostwick Townsend. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Polly Sayre Jackson, their four children: Gerard B. Townsend, Jr, (Jay) Portland, OR, Sayre T Gerhart, Corrales, NM; Peter Ramsay Townsend, Cambridge, MA., and William J. Townsend, Magnolia, MA, and five grandchildren: Lucilla Gerhart, Katherine Gerhart, Mary Gerhart , Henry Townsend and Lisle Townsend. Family friend, Dely Beloy cared for him for several years at home. Funeral Services will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 705 Hale Street, Beverly Farms, Friday, December 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
