James Sullivan Obituary

Sullivan. Suddenly, of Dorchester, died February 20, 2021, after a courageous battle with addiction. Beloved son of the late James M. and Dorothy A. (Hines) Sullivan. Loving brother of Barbara Sullivan-Murphy and her husband Patrick Murphy of Weymouth, Ann and her husband William Trojano of Dorchester, Stephen and his wife Peggy Sullivan of Peabody, and the late Sean P. Sullivan. Survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Jimmy was a veteran who proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a former Firefighter for Massport and a member of the Laborer's Union Local #223. There will be a private Funeral Mass in St. Margaret Church of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish followed by a private burial with military honors in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Dorchester. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jimmy's memory may be made to Addiction Recovery Support Services, 68 O'Connell Way, Boston, MA 02114, or at www.aarpss.org.
