I remember Mrs. Higgins very fondly as a teacher at the Eliot School in Needham. We had a lot of wonderful on the school playground during recess. Fortunately I had one opportunity to speak to Mrs. Higgins by phone when she was retired. I miss her. Nick :-)

I worked with Joyce for many years at the Belmont Library. We both enjoyed gardening and spent many lunch hours going to garden centers studying and buying plants. Joyce and I also attended antiquarian book shows and enjoyed looking for antique children's books. She was the kindest person I ever met and I treasure the memories I have of her.

I worked with Joyce in the Belmont Library children's room. Joyce was a lovely person...gentle & kind & a wonderful children's librarian. She nurtured the love of books in many children over the years.
Joyce talked of growing up in Pittsfield, in the red house by the road. I always think of her when we go by it.
She spoke often of her adored children & grandchildren. My deepest sympathy to all of you.

My daughter, Michelle, loves the Children's Room at the Belmont Public Library; Joyce was always so kind and helpful to Michelle. We offer our deepest condolences to the family.

I worked with Joyce in the childrens' area at the Thayer Library. She was an inspiration as a librarian and a welcoming presence to every child and parent who came to visit.
She spoke often of her kids and the plays that you produced at your house. It sounded like a wonderful place to grow up.
Please accept my sympathy for your loss. I will never forget her.
