Walter Kasper Obituary

KASPER Walter J., Retired B.P.D., of Bourne, formerly of Stoughton, Dorchester and So. Boston, died November 23rd. He was born in Jersey City, raised and educated in Boston, and most recently had lived in Avon and Bourne. Walter was a Boston Police Officer for many years retiring at the age of 55. He was an avid Red Sox Fan. Husband of the late Mary (Ennis) Kapser. Father of Marianne R. Hutchinson and her husband Frederick of Dennis, Claire T. Williams and her husband Edward of Bourne, William J. Kapser and his wife Eleanor of So. Boston, Laraine T. Salter and her husband William of Middleboro, and Paul G. Kasper and his wife Betsy of Sagamore Beach. Also survived by 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and his close friend Roger Kemp. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Michael’s Church, Avon, on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are private. Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Walter’s memory may be made to Bourne Manor Nursing Home, 146 McArthur Blvd., Bourne, MA, 02532. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St., RANDOLPH, MA, 02368.
