Roy was such a good friend to our Dad, Eric. Just 10 months and 10 days later he left to meet up with him at that Railroad Pass in the sky. May they both forever be at peace.

Our sincere condolences to Michele, Holger, and all of Roy's grandchildren and relatives. Roy had a big heart and we feel privileged to have know he and Dorris for many years while they lived in Lakewood, Colorado.

Roy was certainly one of the stalwart personalities at Denver Fire Station 16 during the many years he worked there. An entertaining story about Roy helping me cook Sunday brunch at the firehouse-

One Sunday I was making breakfast for 9 firefighters and Roy was helping me cook. I threw all 2 pounds of bacon into a cast iron skillet on the burner and basically deep fried it to perfection. Not to be outdone Roy put the sliced bulk breakfast sausage in the same skillet full of bacon grease and cooked it to a black char. During breakfast I looked down the table at Roy and asked him to pass the beatle backs, to which his face turned bright red, and the whole table burst out laughing. He never quit helping though and we had a lot of fun making firehouse meals.
