With Frankie, just like his brother Dan;it was never like hanging with a rock star. It was always like meeting an old buddy (a really talented buddy) in the aisle of Home Depot. You were a class act my friend and I'll always remember how kind you were to a couple of young guys who were living out one of their dreams, listening to and hanging out with the Allman Brothers all those years ago.

My sincere condolences to the Toler family. The road goes on forever...

Marsha, Danny, everyone....I'm shocked and saddened to hear of your loss. Frankie was always kind to me, as were you all,and the greatest drummer Southern Rock ever knew. I'll remember him often and warmly.....Gary

Dave Im so glad I got to come down these past 3 yrs. The fun moments to the serious talks. Little things like you taking me to your favorite "Ice Cream Hut". You showing me how you could flip your boots & have them stand back up. Even the serious moments. Im so glad I got to be by your side when you needed me. I promise to watch over Danny for you. "Everytime I hear thunder, I'll know your there". Give a kiss to Grandma, Grandpa & dad. I love you Dave, forever.

Danny & Family, I am so greatly sorry for your loss. Frankie was every bit a wonderful drummer and a better man. I will never forget the stories you, Frankie, and Dickey shared with us about the early DB&GS band in Dickey's family room about 10 years back. I still laugh thinking about them. RIP Frankie!

Dan, You were right about David being the "Best". I remember you having to drag him to practice when he was about 12 and us playing with Billy Lakes at the old "Twilight" in Ohio when he was only 13? I'll miss him too. God Bless you all for your loss... from the Gray Ghost

I played with Frankie and Danny back in 95. They are both truly great. Since I suffer from the same disease, we'd talk about treatments and other pertinent things. I attended the fund raiser in Downtown Bradenton, and it was amazing to see how many people turned out and contributed. Frankie will be missed by everyone who ever had the pleasure of knowing him.

I had the extreme pleasure of Jamming with Frankie & Dan Many, many years ago back in the early 80's. It was an experience I will never forget. I was just a "newbie" as a guitar player ... just learning the ropes. And playing with those two helped to supercharge my spirits as to make Rock'n'Roll my career for many years afterwards. I remember both him & his brother were two of the nicest & most humble guys I ever met. Even with their massive talent. They were as down to earth as could be. They definitely left a lasting impression on this Ol Boy, & I am very glad & proud to have had our paths cross in life. Frankie ... You will be missed my friend.
