Palmetto, Florida - Esther Helen Parsons, born August 23, 1939, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025, in Palmetto, Florida.
Wonderful, loving mother, sibling, grandparent, great-grandparent, and friend. Esther now joins her parents, spouse, son, grandson, and great-granddaughter in eternal rest.
Esther is lovingly remembered by three children: Camille Cole, Andrew Parsons, and Cassie Parsons; two brothers, Nick and Peter Tihy; and three sisters, Carol Burghart, Dorothy Watts, and Helene Tyler.
A retired beautician and graduate of the Ringling School of Clowns, Esther brought joy and creativity to many. She enjoyed fishing, singing, sewing, and cookingalways serving meals with care and elegance on fine china. Esther was a former member of Fish and Game and the Women's Club of Palmetto.
Her faith was central to their life. As an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Palmetto, Esther sang in the choir and volunteered at the church's thrift store and food bank. Her warmth and generosity touched many lives.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 31 at 10:30 a.m. at Groover Funeral Home, 1400 36th Ave East, Ellenton, FL 34221. A celebration of life will follow at the First United Methodist Church, 330 11th Ave West, Palmetto, FL 34221. Food, family and friendship also to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tidwell Hospice or the First United Methodist Church food bank.
Esther's memory will continue to inspire all who knew her.
