Palmetto, Florida - Gavin T. Hoffman, 21, of Palmetto, FL lost the largest fight he has ever endeavored to the Covid-19 pandemic at 9:05AM on Wednesday 8/25/2021 at Manatee Memorial Hospital. Gavin was born a fighter 2 months early at Manatee Memorial Hospital on 05/04/2000. Since graduating from Palmetto High School in 2018, he went on to work at our local Dollar General where he became a valuable asset as a MIT & current Key Holder and worked beside his mentor / manager and friend, Andrew Thornton. Gavin was the "Ideal" son, the best big brother and friend anyone could ask for. He would help anyone, was compassionate, loved video games, guns and collecting coins. He loved his family and his animals. He is survived by his parents, Daniel and Michelle Hoffman Jr; his brother, Daniel J. Hoffman; grandmother, Earlene Shorten; grandparents; Daniel & Kathleen Hoffman Sr; grandfather, Lynn Mimbs; aunt, Christina Mimbs; uncle/aunt, Chris & Melissa Cann; cousins; Noelle & Drew Cann, Cason Vickers.
