Dear Mrs. Battle, Jim, Rhonda, Beverly, Tripp and Ashley, Our family has know your father for many years and I just want to tell you what a precious impact the observation of his life had on us. As a neighbor for the past 8 years to George and I, we were always impressed by his sweet and gentle spirit. I remember that he liked the tangerines that grow in our back yard and I would tell him that he could have them anytime he wanted some. I wish I had taken him some this past year. Your husband and father was a remarkable person and a man that had an obvious faith that was soft and real. He did live out the life called by God to love his neighbor as himself. He would occasionally bring George and I fish he had caught and we would so enjoy the labor of his catch. I just wanted you to know how special we know he was to you all and how much I know he will be missed by the many who knew him.
Our deepest sympathy and prayers go out to you and each member of your family, your father leaves a very special legacy of faith. Know that Christ has welcomed him home with, "Well done thy good and faithful servant",

To the Battle Family,
How saddened I was to hear about the passing of one of Bradenton's icons. There isn't a time when I look at an unusual coin that I don't think of Mr. Battle and his expertise on such things. When I was downtown as the watchmaker at Pierro's, Mr. Battle was the great next door neighbor. I'm sure he will be missed by all of "old Bradenton" and those fortunate enough to have met him. My condolences and prayer for the Battle family.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad. I know that the Lord has sent the Holy Spirit to comfort us in times such as this in ways that only a loving God can do. It is comforting to know that he loved and served God and that he is now with him in Heaven. He will be missed here but his memory will live on in your hearts. I only knew him from my friendship with Jim(James)in high school. Our prayers are with you.
