James E. Burke James E. Burke (Jim), 84, passed away on November 29, 2018. Jim died peacefully during the night and he will be spending Christmas in heaven with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and his wife, Carol, who proceeded him. Jim was the founder and owner of Burke's Autobody on 9th Street in Bradenton, Florida. He sold the business in 2004 in order to travel with Carol, his wife of 62 years. Ultimately, he became her caretaker during the final years of her life due to Parkinson's disease. Carol passed away in 2015. Jim was a passionate and avid golfer. He shot a hole in one on August 15, 2008. Jim was one of five children was born to the late Oscar and Ruby Burke, of Jackson, Tennessee. Jim is survived by; his sons, James and Jimmy; his daughters, Bonnie, Amy and Lisa; his grandchildren, Gregory, Andrew, Robert, Jacalyn, Megan, Connor, Joshua, Johnny, Jacob, Rebecca, and Thomas; his great- grandchildren, James, David, Isaac, Penelope, Ulysses, Moses, Luella, Jayce, Harrison, and his sister, Rebecca Hawk. There will be a Memorial Celebration of Jim's Life on Saturday, December 8th, 2018 at 2:00PM at Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home at Manasota Memorial Park, 1221 53rd Ave East, Bradenton, FL.
