Bradenton, Florida - James D. Cory, 80, passed away on June 19, 2023. He was a well-known local baker. James was an elder in the church in which he grew up. During his retirement years, he served as a security guard and traveled the globe. He traveled to every continent except Antarctica. James is survived by Wife, Grettel Cory; Sons; Michael Ritenour, Glen Cory and Ted (Vicki) Cory; Step-Daughter, Aneth Ugarte; Step-sons; Emanuel Villalobos and Dany Villalobos; Grandchildren; Matthew Ritenour, Herbie Cory Hastings, Tyler Cory, Sophie Cory, Brittany (Chris) Button and Isabella Ugarte; Sister-in-law, Luci Leon; Son-in-law, Juan Marin; and Brother-in-law, Javier Fonseca. Visitation is scheduled for 1-4 PM, Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Covell Funeral Home.
