Janet K. Gabler

July 5, 1936 - December 28, 2023

Cleveland, Tennessee - Janet Kay Scott Gabler received her angel wings on Dec., 28, 2023. Janet was born July 5,1936 in Jackson, Michigan to Marion L. Scott and Ira D. Scott. Jan had one sister, Nancy Scott Warnock who preceded her in death. Jan graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in social work and assisted with adoption placement. Jan had a kind heart and a very strong faith in God. She was known for her volunteer work and acts of service in her community . She was always willing to help others in need and lend a helping hand.

Jan was a long term resident in Holmes Beach, Florida where she enjoyed countless walks on the white sand beaches and swimming in the salt water. She was a loving, devoted mother and is survived by daughters, Brita Gabler Cumberton (Kent Cumberton, husband) + two grandchildren, Kara Cumberton and Kyle Cumberton in TN. Her youngest daughter, Jill Gabler Kountz (husband, Paul Kountz Jr.,) reside in Greenville, SC.

The family would like to send a special thank you to Hearth Hospice Nurse Rachel Mattson along with social worker Karley Moon and the wonderful staff at ClaireBridge in Cleveland, TN for 10 years of loving care. A private family celebration of life will take place in the Spring. Donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association alz.org or the charity of your choice.
